The Vinfather - Gaming Channel

Hi, I’m Vincent Otieno Odipo, but most of you know me online as "The Vinfather." My story is one of passion, perseverance, and a whole lot of gaming—and I’m excited to share it with you!

Growing Up Curious

Born on September 12, 2000, in Kenya, I was always a curious child. I remember the day my mom bought me a toy car. It had this cool mechanism where you’d pull it back, and it would move forward. But my curiosity couldn’t let it be. I had to know what made it work, so I disassembled it to uncover its secrets. That curiosity sparked a lifelong passion for technology and electronics.

My love for tech eventually led me to Kenyatta University, where I pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology. I graduated on December 13, 2020, and even started a YouTube channel called "KwargDevs" to share coding tutorials. Though the channel only grew to 458 subscribers, it was a valuable experience that prepared me for the next chapter of my life.

Finding My Path in Gaming

Gaming has always been a passion of mine, but it wasn’t until 2022 that I started creating content around it. My first game was FIFA 14, the only football game my old laptop could handle. Those early videos—though simple—were the seeds of what would become my streaming career.

By September 2023, my friends and I discovered opportunities to make money on YouTube. Collaborating with creators like OshTrader Global, King Billy Beats, and JavintageKe, I was able to save up enough to buy a second-hand PlayStation 4. This was a game-changer (literally) for me and marked the start of my serious gaming journey.

Rising to the Top

I officially registered my YouTube channel in 2021, but my big break didn’t come until 2024. I switched to streaming on YouTube after struggling with Twitch, where I’d often find myself streaming to just one viewer: me. On YouTube, my vertical streams of EA Sports FC 24 started gaining traction. People connected with my energy, humor, and love for football gaming, and my community began to grow.

In December 2024, I branched out into other games like Rocket League and Fortnite. While I’m far from a pro at those games, I’ve enjoyed exploring new content and challenging myself in new ways.

The Teams and Players I Love

When it comes to football, my loyalties are clear: Manchester United and Real Madrid. I’ve also been a lifelong fan of Cristiano Ronaldo, supporting every team he’s played for, including Sporting CP, Juventus, and Al Nassr. My passion for football is at the heart of everything I do as a streamer.
